Fairy tea.
Ingredients:
Chamomile
Apple juice
Any berries you love
Sugar to taste
Some fairy magic
Drop scones.
Made entirely by my four year old.
She is so independent.
Thanks big sis.
I think I will skip spreading the jam with a knife and go right in for the kill.
The simple pleasures.
Nothing fancy.
Just love.
Joy.
Fun.

ReplyDeleteI wonder whether Luna will have that same sort of independence and drive. Somehow, I feel as though I see these things in her already.
Juliana, children have an inborn drive to do things on their own. Everyone in the world wants to feel that they add some value by being here. Children are no different. We are the ones who don't let them learn to be independent because we are scared that they might get hurt, or it is just quicker and easier to do things by ourselves. We do a disservice to our children when we take away their joy and wonder in discovery.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite quote by Maria Montessori is "Help me to do it myself". I try to do that with my children.
I think that Luna will be very independent, because you seem like a very tuned in Mama, so you will let her be her best :).
