Inspiration

I have become a blogging stalker. I am trying to get inspiration for what the theme for my blog should be and how to set it up.

Still not there, but that's OK. This is a journey after all.

I found an interesting blog called "You're pretty too" and one of the quotes that I really like, follows.

"I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element.
It is my personal approach that creates the climate.
It is my daily mood that creates the weather.
I possess tremendous power to make a life miserable or joyous.
I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration.
I can humiliate or humour, hurt or heal.
In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized.
If we treat people as they are, we make them worse.
If we treat people as they ought to be... we help them become what they are capable of becoming."

Goethe

Something I should remember on my journey through motherhood.

  2. true that our daily mood creates the weather. A reminder to stay positive because we create our own situations. I wanted to ask u : I been readin " A New Earth" ( like you recommended) but just wanted a simple version of what he is trying to say. Tell me what you think?

  3. Oh my goodness. Something simple? I am trying to read it for the second time at the moment and am struggling to get through it again. I think that when I read it the first time, I was really ready to receive it.

What I found helped me a lot was to watch all the podcasts, where him and Oprah discuss each chapter and explain it. I got them from iTunes, but you could probably download them from Oprah's website.

He has also written a book called "Stillness Speaks", which is meant to be short and simple, but I haven't read it.

Good on you for persevering with the book, btw :)
